Anesthesia assistants (AA) participate and assist in a variety of anesthesia related research projects.
Members of the AA group are presently conducting a qualitative research study, looking at the perception of the anesthesia assistant role across the sites at UHN. The purpose of the research is to explore the multidisciplinary healthcare professions' perception of the anesthesia assistant role. This information will be used in order to identify opportunities in order to improve the profession's involvement in facilitating interprofessional collaboration.
