After-Hours Access

  • University Avenue, Elizabeth Street entrances — locked at night from 8:00 pm - 6:00 am. Please use intercom.
  • Gerrard Street entrance - locked at night from 8:00 pm - 6:00 am. Please use Emergency Department entrance.
  • Emergency Department entrance (Gerrard and Elizabeth) — always open.

MRI

  • For after-hours MRI appointments, please use the intercom station located outside the University Avenue entrance. You will need to state your name and MRI appointment time.

Public Transit

Subway
Queen's Park subway station, on the University branch of the Yonge-University-Spadina line (Line 1)

Streetcar
506 Carlton - University stop, and walk south; or Elizabeth Street stop and walk south along Elizabeth
505 Dundas - University stop, and walk north up University Avenue

Bus
During rush hour, the 142 bus goes along University Avenue.


Nearest Major Intersection

College Street and University Avenue (south of Queen's Park). TGH is located along the east side of University Avenue, just south of College Street.


Pick-up and Drop-off Points

You can drop people off at the U-shaped driveway at the Elizabeth Street and University Avenue entrances.

Parking

  • Across from the hospital, in a lot accessed from Elizabeth Street (between Gerrard and College streets)
  • Parking garage below the Peter Munk building, accessed from Gerrard Street (between University Avenue and Elizabeth Street)

Parking lots are always open. We accept all standard payment methods. For current rates and other parking information, please visit our parking page.

Street parking is restricted on the streets around our hospitals. Some street parking is available along the north side of Gerrard Street, between University Avenue and Elizabeth Street. Please read parking signs carefully.

Parking

Wheelchair-accessible parking is available at all UHN parking lots. Please note — wheelchair-accessible parking for TGH is currently only available at the 200 Elizabeth Street lot, due to COVID-19 entrance restrictions.
