With Extendicare's expertise in caring for seniors, the West Park Long-Term Care Centre offers regular and seasonal activities to engage and entertain its residents.

Residents enjoy many stimulating and interactive recreational activities in the centre's Fun and Fitness Program. Large group activities are held in the Community Hall on the main floor. This room, which is adjacent to the large outdoor central courtyard, can be reserved for private family and community functions.

Interactive activities include sing-a-longs (including a resident's choir), musical performances, live entertainment (as part of Pub Night) and theatre from such groups as the Smile Theatre Company (through the generous assistance of the West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation).

Three beautifully-designed interior gardens and courtyards provide both comfort and security for our residents, who can play a role in maintaining the gardens by planting their own flowers.

The Gym offers modern equipment to help residents maintain a healthy lifestyle.

There are two lounges in each of the 10 home areas within the long-term care centre. One is equipped with a fireplace, television, bookshelves, chairs and sofa, and has direct access to a dining room through beautiful Florida-style glass doors. The other is set up with a sofa and chairs for private conversations with family and friends.

A nondenominational Spiritual Room is available for all residents and family members. A chaplain leads scheduled religious services and provides individual pastoral visits to residents and families. The religious needs of all faiths are accommodated.
