Why should I take the class?
Your healthcare team understands that you may be overwhelmed with information when having treatment for breast cancer, such as surgery. This class supports the information you are given in clinic, and gives you time to ask any questions you may have.
Knowing what to expect will help you cope and maintain your wellness and quality of life. It can also help reduce problems and risks after your surgery.
The class also gives you a chance to connect with others who are living with similar experiences as you.
When should I take this class?
This class should be taken before surgery. It is most helpful to take when you feel ready to learn more about surgery.
When and where are the classes held?
The classes are always held:
- Every Tuesday (except on statutory holidays), from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm
- Virtually on Microsoft Teams
How do I register for the class?
To register for the class or to reschedule, call your surgeon’s administrative assistant, and tell them the date you would like to attend.
