Notices
- Patients coming to the hospital from home are asked to bring a bag to hold their personal belongings during their medical imaging procedure. No bags will be provided by the department. Additionally, please leave your valuables and any metal items (for example, jewellery) at home.

What We Do
Medical Imaging at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is part of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging. As the largest comprehensive medical imaging department in Canada, our cutting-edge technology and highly trained staff are instrumental in the diagnosis, assessment and planning and delivery of treatment for patients at the University Health Network's Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital and Toronto Rehab, as well as Mount Sinai and Women's College hospitals.
As leaders in medical imaging globally, we continuously strive to evolve our program and technology to meet international best practices and technology standards so that we can provide timely, accurate feedback to our patients and clinical staff. As part of this goal, we actively participate in research and are leading several eHealth innovations and software development initiatives.
Medical Imaging at Princess Margaret focuses on oncologic-related imaging and interventions. We perform over 80,000 imaging studies annually.
Supported by a dedicated technical and clerical team, our radiologists subspecialize in:
