Referrals

Now Accepting Ocean eReferrals

This clinic is now accepting referrals through Ocean eReferral to help everyone save time and increase efficiency.

Our office will acknowledge the referral by fax or phone as soon as possible. We will provide the approximate wait time (as able) and indicate if any additional information is required to complete the referral. If an appointment date and time is available it will be communicated to the referring physician. If the referral is declined, a reason will be provided to the referring physician.

Unless the referring physician has indicated otherwise, our office will contact the patient directly to notify them of receipt of the referral and appointment date and time as soon as possible. If no appointment is available, the patient will be provided with an approximate wait list time and will follow up once an appointment date and time have been confirmed.

Referring physician offices are requested to ensure they provide the patient with any requested documents, test results and imaging not already included with the referral. It is extremely important to ensure that your patient brings the following on CD, as these will be required at their first appointment.

  • X-rays
  • CT scans
  • MRI scans

What We Do

The Hip and Knee Clinic offers care and surgical treatment of these joints when they are damaged by arthritis. We perform joint replacements as well as corrective surgeries and other procedures.

Tests

Hip Disorders

During a total hip replacement or a procedure known as total hip arthroplasty, both parts of the hip joint are replaced by artificial implants or prostheses.

Knee Disorders

More joint replacement surgeries are performed on the knee than on any other joint. Knee replacement surgery is generally recommended for patients with severe knee pain and disability caused by damage to cartilage from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis or trauma.
