Referrals

Now Accepting Ocean eReferrals

This clinic is now accepting referrals through Ocean eReferral to help everyone save time and increase efficiency.

All appointments with the Orthopedic Surgeons must be booked through a referral. In order to obtain an appointment, send an Ocean eReferral or fax a referral form to 1 866 223 6624, along with all appropriate medical history and test results. Our office will acknowledge the referral by fax or phone as soon as possible. We will provide the approximate wait time (as able) and indicate if any additional information is required to complete the referral. If an appointment date and time is available it will be communicated to the referring physician. If the referral is declined, a reason will be provided to the referring physician.

Please note that clinic appointments may be virtual visits. The clinic team will let you know what type of appointment is appropriate for your care. Learn more about virtual visits at UHN »

What We Do

The Hand and Wrist Clinic is part of the Hand Program. Our surgeons are internationally known for treating complex injuries of the wrist and hand. The surgeons and hand care physicians as well as our therapists and health professions staff are trained and experienced in caring for all problems of the hand, those that require surgery, and those that can be managed without surgery.

Special Interest Clinics

  • Hand Trauma
  • Non-surgical general hand conditions (pain, tendonitis, trigger finger)
  • Peripheral nerve and brachial plexus
  • Reanimation of the upper extremity
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Wrist and hand osteoarthritis, carpal instability, scaphoid fractures, avascular necrosis of the hand

Tests

If you need to have electrodiagnostic testing for a nerve problem the hand doctor may refer you to another specialist to have this done.
