Toronto Rehab scientists hope robots are the future answer to keeping aging adults in their home longer and safely.
In the HomeLab on the 12th floor of 550 University Ave., researchers, led by senior scientist Dr. Alex Mihailidis, are developing technologies to help detect when an adult has fallen, or to coach a person with dementia through hand hygiene in the washroom or an actual robot that will prompt an adult through daily routines like making tea.
