Chances are they are with us today because of the results generated by a medical laboratory professional. UHN's Laboratory Medicine Program plays a critical role in patient care and driving every day health care decisions .
This week is National Med Lab Week (NMLW) – and there is no better time than NMLW to give everyone in UHN's Laboratory Medicine Program a high-five and thank them for their hard work and commitment to quality patient care!
With over 500 of us, spread between all UHN sites, high-fiving everyone might take a bit of time. In fact, the Laboratory Medicine Program at UHN is the largest diagnostic lab in Canada and is a global leader as a provider of complex, speciality laboratory medicine.
Every day our technologists and other laboratory professionals work alongside our programs, departments and clinical areas to achieve best practices and act as nation-wide leaders in research and education. The medical activities and advancements undertaken by the Laboratory Medicine Program help us reach our common strategic goals of being a global leader in healthcare.
Please visit one of the information booths travelling across our hospital sites and take some time to high-five these dedicated professionals and thank them for the valuable role they play in the delivery of quality patient care.
