Janet Raymond was out for dinner with friends when suddenly, she couldn't move her right leg.
"I said to my husband, 'I can't walk, I think something's wrong with my legs,'" she recalled.
The Toronto resident was rushed to the hospital and told she had suffered a stroke.
Raymond, now in her sixties, worried she had lost her independence.
