- Diagnostic bronchoscopy (white-light bronchoscopy, autofluorescence bronchoscopy, narrow-band imaging, endobronchial ultrasound, transbronchial biopsy, navigational bronchoscopy and in-vivo endocytoscopy)
- Airway stenting
- Photodynamic therapy
- VATS pleuroscopy
- Management of pleural effusion
- Similar procedures for esophageal diseases
Our state-of-the-art Interventional Thoracic Surgery Suite opened at
Toronto General Hospital in 2010. As the first of its kind in Canada, this hybrid endoscopy/surgical suite pairs general anesthetic capabilities with innovative endoscopy technology. We are integrating the Interventional Thoracic Surgery Suite with our existing intervention programs, including minimally invasive and ultra-minimally invasive surgery, image-guided therapy and basic research.
