The Hematology Division is a multifaceted division supporting multiple clinical programs including oncology, transplant, neuroscience and cardiovascular – providing a comprehensive menu of basic and advanced hematology tests and consultative services.
The Flow Cytometry Division offers state of the art diagnostic services and has set the world wide standard for CD34 (stem cell) enumeration for bone marrow transplantation and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) testing.
Other testing services in hematology and flow cytometry include routine testing, highly specialized coagulation testing, hemoglobinopathy and immunophenotyping of leukocyte subsets and hematologic malignancies. Consultation services include providing diagnostic advice on complex cases, routine interpretation of tests, collaborative diagnosis, and scientific, strategic, and regulatory consultations.
The Hematology and Flow Cytometry labs work closely with other lab medicine departments such as molecular diagnostics and cytogenetics to deliver comprehensive, clinical diagnoses for a range of disorders.
