Physician Assistants may conduct patient interviews; take medical histories; perform physical examinations; order and interpret tests; diagnose and treat illness; perform therapeutic or diagnostic procedures, provide medical orders and prescriptions; and counsel on preventive health care. The PA will work with the supervising physician to ensure that all aspects of the care provided are clinically indicated and in keeping with best practice guidelines.
