The Ted Rogers and Family Centre of Excellence in Heart Function, one of seven Centres of Excellence established at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, will transform the way patients with cardiovascular disease are treated around the globe.
ABOUT
The Ted Rogers and Family Centre of Excellence in Heart Function is the largest of its kind in Canada and one of the largest in the world. It specializes in advanced heart failure including therapies such as mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation.

DESCRIPTION
The Ted Rogers and Family Centre of Excellence in Heart Function specializes in advanced heart failure treatment. Its focus is on improving clinical outcomes, patient education, quality of life, research and education. The program acts as a referral and resource centre for inpatient and outpatient issues for many surrounding hospitals.
The Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant clinical program is the largest in Canada, providing inpatient ward and consult services and outpatient services. Patients are treated for heart failure with advanced therapies including: transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, high risk surgical interventions, cardiac resynchronization therapy and optimization of medical therapy.
