UHN has been named Canada’s top funded research hospital in Research Infosource’s Top 40 Research Hospitals in Canada List 2013. The announcement was made on Oct 29, 2013.
The annual study examined research hospitals across the country and ranked them according to research income (all funds used to support research in the form of a grant, contribution or contract from all internal and external government and non-government sources to the institution).
UHN led the nation in research income with $302,304,000 for the fiscal year of 2012, an increase of almost 20 per cent from the previous year.
