This is an exciting time to be in Transplantation Research. Our research no longer focuses exclusively on clinical transplantation, but is expanding to include modelling the human condition and human disease as a whole. Our experience in replacing human organs has given us a unique perspective on how we can model human disease. Over the next ten years, we plan to use our expertise in maintaining, treating and modelling human organs outside the body to create new treatments both for solid organ transplantation and for many human diseases.
