By collecting tissue and/or blood samples from every patient who receives care in the PMCC, we can support our current research programs and build a repository of specimens to be used for future research. This can lead the way for discovery of new disease pathways and new treatments. This is our vision for our new
PMCC Cardiovascular Biobank.
The
Hearts & Minds 22q Biobank will be a world leader in research into 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, bringing together a unique facility that combines specimen collection and storage with annotation of the clinical and molecular phenotype of all patients with this syndrome.
